Street Children

I saw children working in the street
instead of playing in kindergarten or going to the mall with their parents
street is supposed to be place where children are taught not to play in or cross without adults
not the place to work

Who is to blame?
They are too young to blame for being too young to be on the street
They are too young to be forgotten by God
This is the mother of all injustice
even Jesus is crucified as an adult
they got thrown under the bus after coming out of the womb
what an image, from heaven straight to hell
the street is their playground
the tears are their teacher
the pain and ache are pillows to sleep with
what a cruel joke this is
hope and dream are myth for this children

I talked to God last night "You have a problem. This is just ain't right"
He said,"It's ok. I can handle it."
"I don't think you do," I said sarcastically
He then told a story,"How do you think I select my angels? By easy screening process? I am training them younger and younger this day"
My faith shakes in disbelief

Children should play in childhood and works as an adults
These children must work now and play later, sometimes not in a good way
Once I saw a pretty girl playing her guitar and sing in an intersection
she had the brightest smile from her eyes and other than the dirty clothes, looked so radiantly different than other kids
This one broke my heart
I rather saw them crying in the place like this
How could she smile and laugh?
Has she lost her mind?
Or am I seeing a saint?
I am the one who is crying when seeing her smiles

They throw my theory about life and God out into the wind
that life is not a fairytale and God is not the father only for the successful sons and daughters
When their parents hands are tied and were not able to love and raise them
God came down and took over and teach them lessons that can never be learnt from books
that God loves them more than he loves me because they need Him more than I do
But still, everytime I see those children playing with their life on the line
from my view, it is always a cruel sick joke!
