I think a human person is Good with capital G
when he is in a vacuum
when we see it by itself, what he is able and capable of
However, when we take him out of the vacuum and put him in "real" life
we see his competence on some skills, incompetence in some skills
Another way to see the goodness of human is to see it from afar, see it as part of humanity
like seeing the earth from an airplane or space, so peaceful
This "idealistic/on the paper" view sometimes is confused with the "real/dynamic" version
I believe that "human is basically good" is "on the paper"
dynamically, there is fear factor involved...
